FIND THE RIGHT SCIENCE TUITION PROGRAM
Choose the level that matches your child’s school year and learning needs. Each programme is designed for that level’s syllabus and exam demands.
"I KNOW BUT STILL LOSE MARKS"
Most Science marks are not lost in the notes — they’re lost in the question.
Students often struggle because they:
-
don’t know what the question is really asking
-
can’t translate knowledge into a clear cause–effect explanation
-
miss key details in diagrams/experiments/data
-
write answers that are “almost right” but not precise enough
-
panic and rush when questions look unfamiliar
Our job is to teach students how to think, apply, and write Science the way exams reward.
Structured, Understanding-Focused Learning
OUR SCIENCE TEACHING APPROACH
Concept Clarity (No Blind Memorising)
We help students understand how and why things happen, instead of relying only on memory. This builds stronger foundations and makes it easier to handle unfamiliar questions or apply concepts in new situations.
-
Break down processes and relationships clearly
-
Highlight common misconceptions early
-
Strengthen understanding before moving into practice
-
Help students connect ideas instead of memorising isolated facts
Method Training & Question Strategy
Science questions often test more than recall. We train students to interpret scenarios, data, and experiments carefully so they can apply the correct concept with confidence and make sense of what the question is really testing.
-
Identify what is changing and why
-
Link observations to the right scientific idea
-
Apply knowledge to unfamiliar situations
-
Build confidence in handling diagrams, tables, and experiment-based questions
OEQ Technique & Exam Habits
We teach students how to answer with the right keywords, structure, and reasoning. With regular practice and correction, they learn to write clearer answers, avoid vague explanations, and perform more consistently in school exams.
-
Improve answer precision and completeness
-
Reduce vague or incomplete explanations
-
Build stronger habits through targeted correction and practice
-
Strengthen confidence in writing structured, high-quality Science answers

Evolving Skill Requirements
SCIENCE TUITION BY LEVEL
Upper Primary Science (P4–P6)
Students move into stronger concept application, scientific explanation, and open-ended answering. Confidence can drop quickly when students memorise facts but do not fully understand how to explain processes and relationships clearly.
Lower Secondary Science (Sec 1–2, G3/G2)
Students transition from primary-level recall into more structured scientific thinking, data interpretation, and application-based questions. Weak foundations here often affect later performance in Combined and Pure Sciences.
Upper Secondary Science (Sec 3–4, G3/G2/O Level/N Level)
Students need stronger content mastery, answering precision, and exam technique for Combined and Pure Science subjects. Marks are often lost through weak concept linkage, incomplete OEQ answers, and careless interpretation of data or experiments.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
At Genie Education Hub, we believe that learning works best when parents, students, and tutors move in sync.
That’s why we value open communication and regular two-way feedback — we share progress, challenges, and next steps so everyone stays aligned.
Our goal is simple: to give every student the consistent support and encouragement they need to do well, both in class and at home.
We offer Science tuition from Primary 4 to Secondary 4, covering Upper Primary Science, Lower Secondary Science, and Upper Secondary Combined and Pure Science subjects. This allows students to receive support that matches the demands of their current level and syllabus.
Yes. We support both Upper Primary and Secondary students. Our teaching approach is adjusted according to the student’s level, so younger students build strong foundations while older students receive more subject-specific and exam-focused guidance.
Yes. At Upper Secondary, we support Combined Science (Physics/Chemistry), Combined Science (Biology/Chemistry), Pure Chemistry, Pure Physics, and Pure Biology.
Our Science tuition focuses not just on covering content, but on helping students understand concepts clearly, apply them correctly, and answer questions with better structure and precision. We place strong emphasis on explanation skills, keywords, and common answering techniques so students can improve more meaningfully.
Many students lose marks because of vague explanations, missing keywords, or weak question interpretation. We help students identify what the question is asking, apply the correct concept, and express their answers more clearly so they can turn understanding into marks.
We place stronger emphasis on concept understanding, because memorising alone is often not enough for Science. Students need to know how to apply what they have learnt to experiments, data-based questions, and open-ended explanations.
Yes. A major part of our lessons focuses on helping students answer open-ended questions using the correct scientific logic, structure, and keywords. This is important because many students know the topic but still struggle to explain it clearly in exams.
Yes. Students with weaker foundations are welcome. We help them strengthen their understanding step by step, reinforce the basics, and build confidence through guided practice and clearer explanation of concepts.
Yes. We provide our own in-house notes and practice materials to support what is taught in class. These are designed to help students revise key concepts, practise common question types, and improve their answering technique over time.
Yes. New students are welcome to attend a free trial lesson first so they can experience the teaching style and class environment before deciding. We can also provide feedback after the trial on how your child is coping with the subject.
